About Us
We started this agency in 2010, and grew from two mental health counselors, to now where we have 80+ clinicians and targeted case managers throughout FL, offering an array of behavioral health services to over 10,000 families. We consider ourselves a small agency, doing things in a practical, user-friendly, and straightforward kind of way.
No Required Meetings.

Is is Telehealth or In-Person?
That's up to you. Services may be provided via telehealth or in person. In-person services are compensated at a higher rate due to payer reimbursement structures and demand.
What are the basic requirements? (per AHCA requirements)
What if I have my Masters but I'm not a Registered Intern (R.I.) yet?
* If you are a therapist, and not yet a RI, you can get the info here at the Florida Board of Mental Health Counseling. We do not accept therapists who are not, at the very least, Registered Interns, to remain in compliance with Medicaid rules and Florida Law (Source - Board of Mental Health Counselors - 4/2025)
Do you provide Supervision?
We do NOT provide supervision for licensure (for your hours). If you need to have a Qualified Supervisor to become a registered intern, we recommend looking in psychology today, or emailing the Board to see if they have a list of people. You might also consider joining Facebook groups related to registered interns in FL.
For Therapists - Can Registered Interns (Licensed Associates) see clients via telehealth without a supervisor on site?
For Therapists - Do my Registered Intern hours count?
Yes. Registered Interns are allowed to provide services anywhere (school, community, homes) without a licensed person in the same setting, this is per the FL Board and AHCA, only to apply to Community Mental Health Agencies. (This would not apply to private practices). Hours obtained in this setting are generally accepted by the Florida Board and AHCA when properly documented.
Marketing
Contractors determine their own marketing strategies and bear the associated costs. Some contractors found success in advertising on psychology today as well.
Flexibility
Contractors choose their own schedules. Some elect to see clients outside of traditional daytime hours, while others concentrate sessions on specific days. Scheduling decisions are entirely determined by the contractor based on availability, client needs, and personal preference. There are no required days, times, or minimum hours.
What about background checks?
If you are already cleared by AHCA as far as background checks, we'll be able to look it up in their system, otherwise you might have to be fingerprinted for clearance.
Do I have to do the Local Background Check Form if I already have a Level-2
Yes! They are completely different things. You will need the local background check and your notarized Affidavit. See forms to download at the end of this page.
Do I need liability insurance?
You must have professional liability insurance (if you don't currently have any, we recommend www.cphins.com as a possibility) to cover yourself from unexpected situations.
School-Based Therapy Opportunities - (Tiers A-D below in the application)...
Some contractors choose to provide therapy services in school settings. Participation in school-based services is optional and based on contractor availability and interest. Contractors may elect to serve one or more schools, subject to school approval, student availability, and payer eligibility. Contractors determine how school-based services fit into their overall practice and scheduling preferences, and are subject to applicable school, payer, and licensure requirements.

If you are interested in school-based opportunities, you may indicate preferred schools or geographic areas in your application. Our School Coordinator facilitates introductions with participating schools.
With our policy regarding being transparent about how we do things, here's what you need to know about compensation: We have weekly direct deposits, usually on Mondays. Direct deposits will include those services provide , that are available for pay at the time Contractor payments are processed. Note you may or may not receive an amount each week, that will depend on the notes that are ready to be paid at that time.
You can opt-in or opt-out of Adcanced Pay.... basically you'll have an option of getting paid before the claim gets paid by the insurance plan (usually 7-21 days), or after (if you choose after, then there is an extra additional rate if your note qualifies).
Rates
Our rates are listed below.
Therapists get paid between 46 to 62% of the Medicaid rate depending on the specific case:
Therapists - Basic 53-60 min session:
Case Managers - Basic 53-60 min TCM session:
PSR Sessions are $18.00-$22.00 depending on experience, qualifications, & need
Pro-Bono cases, if available, are $30.00.
We also pay a flat rate for other non-frequent services (biopsychosocials; CFARS, Treatment Reviews) - which is 50% of Insurance Payment.
Non-Medicaid sessions (e.g. some healthy kids plans, commercial plans), pay differently, usually $35.00 per session.
Self-Pay sessions pay 70% of the client's cost
Every progress note must include verification supporting the date and time of the documented service. Acceptable verification methods include telehealth session verification, client confirmation, or other approved verification methods applicable to the service setting. This requirement supports documentation integrity and accurate billing.

Our Compensation Model
Compensation is fee-for-service and contingent on the submission of compliant documentation, applicable authorizations, and insurer reimbursement. Services that are not reimbursed by the payer are not payable under this model.

@ Any specialty Certifications, if applicable (TCM, CAP, CANS, play therapy, sex therapy, etc.), get the certificates
@ Any CEUs done in the past 24 months - at least 4-5 of them (for competency), if available.
@ Copy of driver’s license (current & valid)... for Contractors who perform PSR
@ Copy of car insurance (current & valid)... for Contractors who perform PSR
@ W9 Form (google it from the IRS website)
